Holistic Health & Wellness

…like a tree that is planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither

What is Holistic Health & Whole-Person Wellness?

Holistic health and whole-person wellness focus not on just one aspect of a person’s wellness, but on their entire being. By focusing not only on the physical, but also the mental, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects of wellness, we recognize that all of these pillars are deeply interconnected with our physical vessel. Healing and wholeness require attention and balance to each pillar to support the entire structure. Healing and whole-person wellness is within reach.

Postpartum Doula Support

Often called the “Fourth Trimester,” the time after baby arrives is so unbelievably special, but also comes with its fair share of challenges. It is an important time for healing, bonding, resting, and nurturing the new family you’ve created. During this time, having a designated support person to help, as needed, can really allow mom and baby to bond, mom to heal, mom and other family members to rest and bond, to replenish vital vitamins, minerals, and nutrients through nourishing meals, and for support, guidance, and resources to be within close reach. The three pillars of postpartum doula support are emotional support, practical support, and resources and referrals. To find out more about postpartum support, please click here.

A‍bout Me

My name is Jessica and I am a wife and homeschooling mother to four AWE-some small children. I have been passionate about natural healing for almost 2 decades, and have researched and explored these, areas as well as low-tox living, much more thoroughly in the last decade since having children. In my own family, natural preventatives are always the first line of defense, such as healthy, low-tox living and eating for maximum nutrition, while natural healing and remedies are always utilized when support is needed, during illness or injury. I have had two homebirths, a hospital birth, and a birth center birth, giving me a wide range of personal experiences in different birthing environments. I am also the survivor of three miscarriages, two of which put me in the hospital, while one required substantial medical intervention to save my life. Although child-carrying, bearing, and rearing have all tested me physically, mentally and emotionally, as well as sometimes spiritually, I believe it has also made me resilient and confident in providing care to other women in chapters of transition in their lives. I am currently enrolled in a Postpartum Doula program, as well as Birth Doula, Bereavement Doula, End-of-Life Doula, Prenatal and Postpartum Nutrition Consultant and Perinatal Mental Health Support Specialist with the DNT (Doulas and Nurturing Traditions) Network. I also currently attend the Trinity School of Natural Health and am training as a Certified Holistic Health Professional, where my areas of study include nutrition, herbalism, iridology, aromatherapy, Bach Flower Essences, homeopathy, and other natural healing modalities.
